Comme des Garsons The Art of In-Between Forever Chic by Meg

The Metropolitan Museum of Art lit up Fifth Avenue on Monday night to celebrate The Costume Institute of New York and the new exhibit The Art of In-Between.  The festive occasion, better known as the Met Gala, features the season’s most eclectic red carpet. The fashion parade reveals a diverse gathering of personalities dressed-up to illustrate the theme of the event.  This year the presentation is the historic journey of the innovative work of Rei Kawakubo, the visionary behind  Comme des Garçons.

Rei entered the industry in the late sixties. The company that was based in Tokyo started to share her unique and progressive interpretation of fashion.  The exhibit showcases the original artistic mindset, and aesthetic that represents sculpture art, boyish comfort, and the freedom to express originality.  Her brave imagination is an inspiring example of the courage to freely convey one’s individual style with confidence, and heart.

Today’s Wardrobe Update honors the brand with a Style Server that infuses my perspective of the lines polished unconventional flair, fearless spirit, and heartfelt vision.

Forever Chic!
