A Downtown Townhouse on an Upward Spiral

This week the real estate interior design inspiration is the story of an 1857 townhouse located in Greenwich Village.  The reincarnation of the 158-year-old New York City home was highlighted on Architectural Digest at the beginning of October.

The home required a gut renovation orchestrated by the architect Peter Pennoyer who is a master at reconstructing homes to their original timeless elegance.  Interior Designer Shawn Henderson assisted the owners to bring to life the interior of the home. He found the perfect symmetry through artwork, furniture, and decor, to achieve a chic downtown vibe.

The home is anchored by a stunning spiral staircase connecting to the upper floors. A reminder representing the upward spiral of success, for a historic house whose beauty gets better with age.

Forever Chic!
