A Downtown Townhouse on an Upward Spiral

A Downtown Townhouse on an Upward Spiral

This week the real estate interior design inspiration is the story of an 1857 townhouse located in Greenwich Village.  The reincarnation of the 158-year-old New York City home was highlighted on Architectural Digest at the beginning of October.

The home required a gut renovation that was orchestrated by the architect Peter Pennoyer who is a master at reconstructing homes to radiate their original timeless elegance.  In addition, the owners reinstated their previous designer Shawn Henderson to create the brilliant interiors in order to display their notable collection of present day artwork, furniture, and decor for the perfect symmetry of classic and contemporary style to encompass a chic downtown vibe.

The four floor home is connected by a stunning staircase representing the upward spiral of success for a historic house whose beauty gets better with age.

Forever Chic!
