November is the last moment to cherish the richness of autumn. The month signifies the meaning of freedom, with the privilege of casting a vote, honoring our heroes, and celebrating the time-honored traditions of a Thanksgiving.
The Style Server is inspired by the spirit of this moment in time. As we return to re-engaging the server showcases the loyal luxury and rouge radiance from Lafayette 148. The selections include the first signs of winter elegance and effortless holiday flair in ruby, rose, and burgundy richness. Paired with the brand’s toffee brown knits make it easy to move from day to night in funky and festive attire.
Better late, then not at all, to highlight the month of October. A time of celebration known as #libraseason, with autumn festivities honoring Christopher Columbus and the tricks and treats of the ghosts from decades past.
The season represents rebirth, as Mother Nature shares an array of richness to inspire optimism for the change ahead. On a personal note, this moment is also a new beginning. Spending the pandemic displaced, I joined the brand Lafayette 148. A perfect fit to open the Greene Street Flagship to be a part of a New York company on a mission. The downtown space was brought back to life by well-known architect William Sofield. The interiors project the beauty and funky spirit of Soho style, now, filled with modern elegance.
The Style Server shares the sensibility of the crisp fall climate and brilliant foliage. The pieces are all part of the #L148 current collection, inspired by nature’s resilience and ability to reset and reemerge better than ever before.
With a little hesitancy, we step enthusiastically into the autumn season, following relaxed protocols, common sense, and a compassionate heart.
As with all Septembers, the crisp air inspires the month’s spirited energy and desire to revitalize and begin again. Whether you are headed back to existing circumstances, moving to unfamiliar surroundings, or humbly rediscovering your purpose, it is the opportunity to start fresh.
Finding the good every day is the inspiration behind the August State of Mind and its Style Servers. This is also a mantra for a well-lived life directed by light and love.
The month of August is a moment of transition, as we continue to enjoy summer’s sparkle and prepare to get back to business. There is much to anticipate, with a new virus variant and the changing of the guard in the New York governorship. At this point, (at least New Yorkers) have learned we have the resilience to handle anything. The newfound wisdom has provided the strength to rise up and be great humans to shine through all situations.
To express these sentiments the shops offer black and white wardrobe essentials, accompanied by a yellow glow. The colors brilliance is a reminder to focus on a bright mindset as we shift into autumn with timeless glamour.
July makes its entrance with a red, white, and blue Americana glow. The customary celebration is in honor of our great nation turning a year older and wiser. All generations adopt a playful personality to enjoy summer’s splendor.
The outdoorsy style of life rules the runway with beach bums, sports champions, and wellness gurus at the forefront of social media influence. Mother Nature and her magical moments also guide the social scene. Invitations call for moonlit cocktails and swanky cookouts, with dress codes that are effortless, elegant, and fancy-free.
The summertime flirtatious flair is the inspiration behind the Style Servers. A vision of red brilliance represents the cheerful confidence of the warm-weather sabbatical. The boutiques share a mix of buy now, wear now, and transitional fashion for timeless sunfilled sparkle.
A lighthearted mindset leads the way for summer and its short and sassy stay. We continue to rebound from the pandemic, shedding our masks and getting back to a normal groove. Regaining the liberties of large gatherings and the ability to embrace with gratitude and newfound appreciation.
June is classified as a hugging season filled with merrymaking and affection. To start, the month has become synonymous with the Pride celebration and observance of the community’s triumphant progress. The joyful aura continues, honoring friendship and the selfless acts of Father figures. We recognize the gifts of the Great Outdoors and Ocean waterways and offer a standing ovation for all academic milestones, big, small, and everything in-between.
The Style Server is the inspiration for the simplicity of effortless summer splendor. Both shops share shades of indigo and uncomplicated glamour that represent the purity and elegance of the season.
May is a moment to lead by example and be the light. The power is in our hands, one shot at a time, to bring about the comeback of a lifetime.
Traditionally, the month of May, is a vision of patriotism, to prepare for Memorial Day and the start of summer. This year, we celebrate honoring the color yellow and its bright spirit. The glow is everywhere, starting with the influence of Amanda Gorman, the Park Avenue Tulips, and fashion and design runways.
The Stye Servers are stocked with the hue’s happy energy, as we reemerge and re-open the country. The luster of sunfilled shades is meant to encourage a radiance that stems from the inside out, to be a better, stronger, and newer version of you.
April is synonymous with Mother Nature’s rebirth of the season’s beautiful blooms. This year, the buds seem to appear stronger, better, and newer, with the control of the pandemic. The overall atmosphere is extremely optimistic as the country gets healthier, one vaccine at a time.
The month starts with a silly spirit, celebrating laughter, and the streets fill with masked explorers Instagramming and honoring the planet. New York is coming back, at least for spring, as I watch Madison Avenue regain its strength with newer vibrancy and fresh glamour.
The Carolina Herrera windows were what spoke to my soul. The Style Servers model the brand’s story of modern elegance in the summer shades of blue, tan, and white. The shops share a group of goods with the same essence of a timeless and chic sun-season wardrobe.
March will forever be the anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic. The moment in time, the world locked down, and life came to an abrupt halt. The month will be a time to reflect on all we overcame to regain normalcy.
To celebrate the beginning of the end and the progress made, the Style Servers share a green glow. The color represents growth in every aspect. The lessons learned, the improvements made, and the rise of the spring season.
As with all adversity, there is always a blessing in disguise. Hopefully, this experience has taught us the value of freedom, and the people, places, and things that matter most.
The winter blues, complacency, and stagnation have forever been the stigma associated with February’s overall state of mind. The current cocooning way of life only magnifies these feelings, creating a stronger urge to depart to a paradise. Regardless, we persevere to perk up the pod life with the spirit of the Super Bowl and the sparkle of Golden Globes. A month that is sober and momentous, as we honor the Presidents, recognize Black History, and anticipate the dramatic outcome of Punxsutawney Phil.
However, it is the significance of Valentine’s Day, Chanel Rouge Coco, and a Zoom call with my Mom that inspired the Style Servers. The lip hue is called “Marie” and the perfect formula of pink and red. A glow that identifies with February and the personal reason for my moment of virtual joy. A color combination that turned the ordinary and the routine into an expression of the celebration of love.
The main Shop and Sale Server showcase this vision with the tender and radiant tones of both shades. Something for everyone and every season. A way to brighten your mood and look forward to the better days ahead.
